CHICOPEE – Laurene Leona Hayden, 73, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, June 24, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by the care and comfort of her brother and friends. She was born in Springfield on September 4, 1950, a beloved daughter of the late Edward J. and Leona A. (Meagher) Hayden. She was raised and educated in Springfield where she lived for many years and moved to Chicopee where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and retired in 2013. Laurene was a communicant at the Cathedral of Saint Michael the Archangel in Springfield. She leaves her brother, Edward M. Hayden of Middletown, CT; her two sisters; and her extended family members and friends. Her inurnment will be private at Saint Michael the Archangel Mausoleum, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109.
