Arthur Joseph Franson, 77, of Londonderry, NH passed away Saturday June 29, 2024, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH after a lengthy illness. Arthur was born February 6, 1947, in Stamford, CT, a son of the late Joseph A. and Anna Marie (Fitzgibbon) Franson. He was raised and educated in Chelsea, MA. Arthur received a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and his MBA from Babson College. Arthur has lived in Londonderry, NH and Harmony, FL for the past many years.
Arthur served his country as a member of the US Army in the Vietnam War. After returning to the private sector, Arthur focused on a career in business. He worked for several companies during his working life, specializing in International Manufacturing and supply chain concerns. During this time he lived overseas for 17 years, in Japan and other Asian countries. He was a devout Roman Catholic.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Janis Marie Mangino of Londonderry; two sons, Eric Franson and his wife Kim Robinson, and Kenneth Franson and his wife Megan Franson; a step-son Paul Mangino, Jr.; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Austin, Nicholas Franson, Rose Franson, Sonoma Franson and Bishop Franson; five step-grandchildren, Paul Zackary Mangino, Sofia Mangino, Nathan Taylor, Devon Taylor and Korey Parent; and one step great grandson, Jaxx Ready.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 4 – 5:30pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Catholic prayer service will follow at 5:30pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
