James Funderburk, Jr., 56, of Tifton passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Funderburk will be laid to rest at Salem Memorial Gardens in Tifton. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Tommy Guthrie, Jerry Guthrie, Ronnie Griner, Jina Funderburk, Harley Funderburk, Jamie Gordon, Lamar Young and Caleb Funderburk will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 4, 1968, in Ocilla, Mr. Funderburk was the son of Martha Luke Vazquez of Willacoochee and the late James Alfred Funderburk, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Darlene Jackson Funderburk; one brother, Brian Funderburk; and one sister, Lisa Funderburk. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Tifton.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Funderburk is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Wendy Funderburk of Pearson; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Tammy Dooley of Lee County, Michelle and Tim Wells of Fitzgerald; Beth Ross (Ronnie Griner) of Nashville and Jina Funderburk of Enigma.
