Beth Ann Troisi, 60, of Westport, MA and Hyde Park, MA passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at home. She was the wife of Linda J. Scherer for twenty years, but together for thirty-two years.
Mrs. Troisi was born in Winthrop, MA daughter of Jo-Ann (Theberge) Troisi of Winthrop and the late Emilio Troisi. She grew up in Winthrop, graduating from Winthrop High School Class of '82. She attended Johnson and Wales University's culinary program and the UMASS Dartmouth Artistry Program. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and going to the Westport Social Club. She had homes in Hyde Park and Westport and had come to adopt Westport as her hometown, which she cherished.
She loved catching beach sunrises with her beloved dog Randall, but most of all she enjoyed transforming her acre yard into a tranquil garden. The garden at times was a place of community where her friends would gather and celebrate life, while enjoying food Beth cooked from her heart.
She was a chef by trade, cooking for Brigham and Women dignitaries, being a private chef at Ellenhorn and starting her own catering company which led to opening her own restaurant, JP Goods in Jamaica Plain. She also had an interest in metals, and had many jobs making jewelry and collecting antiques.
Survivors along with her wife and mother include her brother: Eric Troisi and his wife Kim of Wasilla, AK; 2 sisters: Karen Farrell and her husband Robert of Wilmington, MA and Joyce Troisi of Winthrop, MA; along with 9 nieces and nephews: Jordan, Dylan, Jillian, Lindsay, Robert, Jack, Madison, Christian and Adrian.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 4-7 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, Westport, prior to the service.
