Josephine Davis, 90, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday June 26th in the Hope Health Hospice Intake Center in Providence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Frank Davis. They were married for 28 years before his passing in 1983.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Albert and Elvira ( Quattrocchi ) Pepe. She had lived in Johnston for 26 years previously living in Smithfield.
She had enjoyed attending mass and singing in the choir at St. Philip Church and St. Michael's Church both in Smithfield. She loved spending time with her family.
She was the mother of Stephanie Davis of Lincoln, Cynthia Robin and her husband Richard of Burrillville, Frank Davis and his partner Mark Calcione of Johnston , Karen Colantuono and her husband Eugene of North Scituate, Thomas Davis and his fiancé’ Ali Bell of Lincoln, Annmarie Izzo and her husband David of Danielson, CT, John Davis and his wife Emily of Richmond, and Seanna Dubuque of Johnston. She was the grandmother of Keri, Kristin, Ricky, Ashely, Steven, Bonnie, Kenny, Ava, Dana, Desiree, David and Justin. She was the great-grandmother to Aiden, Avery, Everette, Ella, Olivia, Adalyn, Amberlyn, Anden, Benjamin, Josephina, Cali and Casey. She was the sister of Albert Pepe and sister of the late Etta Williams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday June 29th at 10 am in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Friday from 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
