NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT - Bronislav Lorenczyk, 60, died Monday, June 24, 2024 in UMass/Memorial University Campus with family at his side.
He leaves his wife of 36 years, Zdenka (Dostalova) Lorenczykova; 3 children, Tatana Gielarowiec of North Grosvenordale, and twins Ivana Lorenczykova of Dudley and Leona Lorenczykova of the Czech Republic; 2 grandchildren, Leona and Irek; and 5 siblings, Zdenka, Pavel and Petr of the Czech Republic and Jan and Jana of Worcester, MA; nephews and nieces.
He was born on September 11, 1963 in Trinec, Czech Republic, a son of Pavel and Anna (Kantorova) Lorenczyk and lived there until moving to Webster, MA in 2000. He graduated from a technical high school.
Mr. Lorenczyk was a chef when he lived in Europe and worked in construction as a mason here for the last 20 years.
As a young man, he enjoyed playing chess and won several tournaments. He liked to cook and to spend time with his family and close friends. His favorite pastime was watching documentaries and sports, especially hockey.
His funeral will be held Monday, July 8, at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster (please meet at the church). Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
