Obituary

Guljem, a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather is survived by his wife, Marjetina; sons, Eduard and Pjerin, grandchildren Joel, Benjamim, Isabel Marashi and daughter in law Jona Marashi.

During his time at University in Shkoder, he met his wife Marjetina, the woman who stood by his side through thick and thin for 53 years.

Guljem always worked hard to make sure his family was provided for, and took the initiative to immigrate from Albania to the United States in 1997 at the age of 51. He tirelessly and faithfully supported his family by working hard in the United States for nearly 20 years.

Guljem had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation. He loved hosting parties and having family and friends around. He loved his grandchildren and lived a happy life near them. Guljem loved traveling to Shkoder every year while he could still travel and spending time with his family there. His last wish was to be put to rest in Shkoder, a city he loved so much.

Guljem was a truly great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family, that loves him dearly. He was a selfless man whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones. His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all he knew.

The services will take place on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at the Casper Funeral Home in South Boston, MA from 10am-1pm.
