Thomas J. Walsh, beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully Friday, June 21st in St. Vincent Hospital at the age of 79. His wife of 56 years, Simone M. (Paradise) Walsh died in April. He leaves two daughters, Jodi Walsh of Auburn and Jessica Frosch and her husband, Andrew, of Emerald Isle, NC; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Sara, Dylan, Owen, and Piper; two great-grandchildren, Iris and Wyatt; and extended family and friends.
He was born in Worcester, the son of John F. and Isabel J. (Head) Walsh. Thomas pursued higher education and graduated from Holy Cross College, where he laid the foundation for a successful career. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Tom served his country with honor and dedication.
Tom was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He had a passion for grilling and was known for hosting family meals that brought everyone together. His culinary skills and the joy he found in preparing a delicious meal will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of dining at his table.
He shared a special bond with his wife, Simone. Their trips to Las Vegas were filled with laughter, adventure, and cherished memories. Tom had a deep love for the beach, particularly Cape Cod and the serene shores of North Carolina. He found peace and happiness in the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. These coastal retreats were his sanctuaries, where he could relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
Tom’s kindness, generosity, and love for his family and friends will be greatly missed. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be private. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
