Maria Luisa Mazon Carballido, 82, of Anderson passed away on June 21, 2024 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
She was born on August 25, 1941 Huitzuco, Huitzuco de Los Figueroa, Guerrero to Juan Mazon and Jesus Carballido.
She worked as a food service supervisor for the Anaheim School District from 1994-1999. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson. She loved listening to music, watching people dance, watch caso cerrando, cooking and cleaning.
She is survived by her children, Virginia (Alfredo) Barbosa, Lucia Barbosa, Sara (Victor) Gaytan, Elvira (Hugo) Navarro, Rocio (Daniel) Najera, and Miguel Angel Barbosa; 18 grandchildren, Chuy, Junior, Joanna, Nena, Lucy, Roman, Jazmin, Lili, Tony, Nely, Irene, Andres, Andrea, Joel, Saro, Jonathan, Stephany, Sophie, and more to come; 25 great-grandchildren, Lupita, Marilyn, Audrey, Frankie, Bryan, Claudia, Emma, Yoselin, Chucky, Jason, Angel, Bella, Kayla, Gabriel, Selen, Dali, Cati, Emi, Denisse, Zoe, Ally, Karime, Adrian, Andres, and Aaron; a sister, Teresa Carballido; a step-brother, Rodrigo (Veronica) Arteaga; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Saro Barbosa Salgado who she married on May 5, 1963 and passed away on February 11, 2016; four sons including Joselito Barbosa; a sister, Julia Mazon and a grandson, Erik Carrillo.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson with Father Tom Metzger. Burial will take place in Panteon Municipal de Huitzuco de Los Figueroa Guerrero.
Visitation will be from 9:00am-10:30am on Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
