Robena Margaret (Campbell) Meda, 84 of Norfolk died June 20 at the Branches in North Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Fred J. Meda, Jr. who died last December.
Born in New Waterford, Cape Britton, Nova Scotia, Canada, June 10, 1940, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (White ) Campbell, Robena came to Boston from Canada in 1960. She had lived in Norfolk for the past 61 years.
Robena had been a hairdresser when she came to the States and became a homemaker following the birth of her 2 sons.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending the Summer’s at her home in Prince Edward Island.
She is survived by her sons, Fred J. Meda III and his companion Kelly Trueb of West Warwick, Rhode Island and Paul M. Meda and his wife Cheryl of Douglas.
She is also survived by her brothers John and Michael Campbell of Toronto, Canada. She was the sister of the late Billy Campbell and Irene Barlet.
Robena is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 1 in St. Jude’s Church, Norfolk at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Norfolk Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin, prior to the funeral, from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
