Jean M. (Adley) Fay, age 88, of Stuart FL, formally from Whitman, MA, entered eternal peace on June 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Robert Edward Fay. Born in South Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Marion (Weaver) Adley.
Jean was a graduate of Braintree High School and attended many of their class reunions with her brother Frank. Jean worked at John Hancock, Curry College and the Whitman School System. She dedicated her life to those she loved. Jean always had a warm loving smile and extended arms to give everyone a big hug and her words of wisdom. Family was Jean’s heart and soul. Her selflessness as a devoted Irish Catholic could be seen in every aspect of her life.
Jean was the much-loved mother of Donna (Thomas) Hayes of Hobe Sound, FL, Diane (John) Mixon of Green Cove Springs, FL, Denise Fay of Jensen Beach, FL, Jean (Richard) Russell of Bridgewater and Laurie (Wiliam) Consolo of Hutchinson Island, FL and Vermont. She was a loving grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of eleven. Jean is also survived by her beloved siblings Gail (Adley) Castellano, Judith (Barry) Kaplan, Patricia (Jeff) Lea. Her brothers Frank and Richard have passed away recently. Jean has many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street in Whitman (Route 58) at the rotary, Whitman, MA at 10 - 12 on July 8, 2024, followed by being laid to rest with her husband at St. James Cemetery in Whitman, MA.
