Obituary

Mr. Robert F. “Bob” Boner Jr., 69, of Methuen, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. The son of the late Robert and Margaret (Stanton) Boner Sr., he was born in Lowell and had been an area resident all his life. He graduated from Greater Lawrence Technical School with the Class of 1973. He worked many years as an auto body technician, and worked at the camp store at the Salisbury Beach State Reservation where he was also a host camper for 10 years. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge, St. Mark’s in Newburyport. He enjoyed the lakes and ocean, camping, playing Polish Horseshoes and 45’s, following Boston sports especially the New England Patriots despite also being a NY Jets fan. He was a member of the Salisbury Beach Vintage Campers club. His greatest love was spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was also pre-deceased by his sister Charlotte St. Pierre, and two brother Edward Boner and Richard Boner. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Barbara E. (McEvoy) Boner of Methuen, two daughters: Jessica and her husband John Musumarra of Methuen, and Valerie Boner and her fiancé Christopher Merrill of Derry, NH. He will be lovingly remembered by his three sisters: Kathleen Rosario of Methuen, Mary and her husband Robert Houde of Salem, NH, Lisa and her husband Christian White of Salem, NH, one brother: George “Jack” Boner and his wife Ruth of Haverhill; and four grandchildren: David “DJ” Nichols, Chloe Nichols, Joseph Musumarra, and Haley Musumarra, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut.
