Patrick J. Buccella, Sr., age 75, of Bridgewater, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Annemarie (Weston) Buccella. They were married for 48 years.
Born in Boston and raised in Avon, he was the son of the late Giacobbo and Evelyn (Politano) Buccella.
He worked as a truck driver for many years, spending a good portion of his career in the family business, R.A. Buccella and Sons, and most recently for John Cooper Paving.
Patrick enjoyed racing, buying trucks, and Ford Mustangs. He was a caring person who enjoyed putting a smile on people’s faces. A jokester at heart, he cared deeply for those he loved. Pat also loved watching his son Dom race as well as camping. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Jenna Marie Buccella and often went camping at Maple Park, Normandy Farms, and Epping, NH, when his kids were racing in previous years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Patrick Buccella, Jr., of Raynham, Melissa Murphy of Raynham, Anthony Weston Buccella of Bridgewater, and Domenic Buccella of Avon; his dog Buddy; thirteen siblings, James Politano, Vinny Politano, Joseph Politano, Daniel Politano, Anne Brown, Philip Politano, Richard Politano, Mark Politano, and Stephen Politano; several grandchildren, Jessica Bradbury, a great grandson, nieces and nephews. Patrick joins three of his siblings; Cathy Prosser, Michael Politano, and Christopher Politano.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10:30 am, for a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, in Taunton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Patrick’s name can be made to either the American Lung Association or the Traumatic Brain Injury Association of America.
