Rosanne P. (Clark) Carney, age 81, of Brockton, entered eternal peace at home on June 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Rosanne was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Carney, whom she was married to for 46 years and together for 52 years. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Ralph J. and Geraldine F. (Hughes) Clark.
Rosanne was a member of Brockton High School’s class of ‘61 and remained a Brocktonian through the entirety of her life. She dedicated her life to those she loved; A lighthouse to her family, Rose was entrusted by all for comfort, guidance and words of wisdom. Whether it was summers at the Cape, and/or New Hampshire with her children and grandchildren, Rose would always be the final one out of the house, helping the last child get ready for the day. Her selflessness as a devoted Irish Catholic, could be seen in every aspect of her life. Rose was fond of gardening, shopping, and Hallmark movies/ornaments. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family; Whether it was Sunday Dinners, a cookout on the 4th of July, or Christmas Eve at her home, Rose illuminated the room with her adoration for her family. With herself as her last concern, Rose assured not only every holiday season was filled with love, but every day.
Rosanne was the much loved mother of Scott Carney of Brockton, Bridget Raithel of Brockton, Kerry Bresnahan of Quincy, and Kara Brewster of Hanover; loving grandmother of ten and great grandmother of eight. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Kathleen Dearn of Braintree and Mary Ellen Doherty of Brockton, Robert Clark of Middleboro, and many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 26, at 10:30 a.m., Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street, Brockton, MA. Visiting Hours are omitted.
