Stephen R. Plante, age 68, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Life Care Center in Attleboro.
Born in Attleboro, MA on November 1, 1955, he was a loving and devoted son of Irene J. (Mousseau) Plante of Norton and the late Wilfrid Plante, Jr.
Steve grew up and was educated in Norton. Prior to retiring, he was employed in the Maintenance Department at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro and had previously worked at the Wrentham State School in Wrentham.
Steve loved spending time amongst family and his greatest passion was working on the family farm on Oak Street in Norton. He will be remembered for many different things, but most of all for his kindness and love for animals. Along with his family, he attended Saint Mary’s Church in Norton.
In addition to his mother, he was the dear brother of Wilfred Plante, III of Florida, Edward A. Plante of Norton, Linda J. McKenna and her husband Daniel of Middleboro, Brian G. Plante of Norton and the late David R. Plante. He was the devoted uncle of Shana, Nicole, Tara, Tiffany and Hannah and is also survived by his cherished grand nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
