Yvette D. (LaPerle) Lavallee, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Feb. 22, 1936 in Chicopee, MA and has been a resident in Chicopee for most of her life. Yvette was a communicant of St Rose de Lima Parish. She worked as the Director of the School Lunch Program for Assumption Schools for over 20 years, before she retired. Yvette enjoyed to volunteer for Lorrain’s Soup Kitchen, was president of the Ladies of St Ann of Assumption and was also a member of the PeaceMakers knitting group. She is survived by her loving husband, Roland Lavallee of Sharon, MA; 2 sons, David Lavallee and his wife Kathryn of Enfield, CT and Jerome Lavallee of Agawam; 1 daughter, Gail Wright and her husband James of Sharon, MA; 2 grandchildren, William Wright and Joseph Wright and one great grandchild Tegan Ramsdell. She is predeceased by her siblings, Robert LaPerle, Richard LaPerle, Irene Dumas, Blanche Boucher, Rita Benoit, Alice Houle, Edna Gagne and Agnes Marcinkiewicz. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 11:00 AM.
