Faye Forrest Kent, 63, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Johnny Cooper officiating. Mrs. Kent was laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Berlin.
Andy Tabor, Ricky Tabor, Ronnie Sain, L. D. Delp, David Evans, Leon Cooper, Wayne Matthews and Daniel Matthews served as pallbearers.
Born November 14, 1938, in Helena, Mrs. Kent was the daughters of Frances Evans Forrest of Tampa, Florida and the late Lawrence T. Forrest. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Kent, who passed away in 1987; and one son. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
Mrs. Kent is survived by one son, Donald Kent of Tampa, Florida; two daughters, Sue Richards of Enigma and Tammy Kent of Griffin; one brother, Larry Forrest of Yukon, Oklahoma; six grandsons; and one sunt, Juanita Sain of Moultrie.
