Eunice Burgess Kennedy, 76, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Brantley Seymour officiating. Ms. Kennedy was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Born April 11, 1925, in Turner County, Ms. Kennedy was the daughter of the late James Ralph Burgess and Esther Priest Burgess. She was a retired textile worker; and she was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Tifton.
Ms. Kennedy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Susan Kennedy of Tifton; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
