Mary Frances "Fannie" Griner Jones, 82, of Tifton passed away Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Tift Health Care. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Calvin Bobo and the Rev. Eddie Allen officiating. Mrs. Jones was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
The deacons of Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Faithful Sunday School Class at Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton.
Born May 11, 1917, in Berrien County, Mrs. Griner was the daughter of the late Samuel Franklin Griner and Mary Jane McMillan Griner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, C. W. "Bill" Jones; and one sister, Essie Jernigan. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Jones is survived by one brother, Eston Griner of Tifton; one sister, Gladys Archer of Tifton; and several nieces and nephews.
