Josephine (Boulos) Chedid, 83, of Dartmouth, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Milad Chedid.
Born in Jedaiel, Byblos, Lebanon, she was daughter of the late Yackoub and Sadah (Abraham) Boulos, she had lived in Dartmouth for over 20 years. Mrs. Chedid enjoyed playing cards, cooking, traveling and gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include 4 sons: Jean M. Chedid and his wife Rola of Dartmouth, Charbel M. Chedid and his wife Antoinette Rizk of Dartmouth, Zakhia M. Chedid and his wife Hiba Sawaya of Dartmouth and Wassim M. Chedid and his wife Elizabeth of Dartmouth; 3 daughters: Jeanette M. Helou and her husband Said of Lebanon, Genevieve M. Rohna Chedid and her husband Jean of Lebanon and Souraya M. Howayek and her husband Joseph of Lebanon; 25 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, June 24, 2024 at Our Lady of Purgatory Church (formerly Our Lady of Fatima Church), 4256 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the church prior to the Mass.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Bedford.
