Bertha Belflower Johnson, 98, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Beverly Health Care in Tifton. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Bill Allred officiating. Mrs. Johnson was laid to rest at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Josh Johnson, Glen McBrayer, Coy Tawzer, Buster Mercer, Buddy Pitts and Harmon Tawzer served as pallbearers.
Born August 7, 1904, in Tift County, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Henry Earl Belflower and Georgia Evelyn Belflower. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cicero Johnson; one son, Fred Anderson Johnson, Sr.; and one sister. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Wayside Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by one sister, Mamie Belflower Arrington of Tifton; two grandchildren and their spouses, Freda Roberts of South Carolina and Fred and Robin Johnson, Jr. of Tifton; and three great-grandchildren.
