Francis “Frank” David Dwyer, age 92, of Medford passed away on Monday, June 17th, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Born and raised in upstate New York, he was the son of the late Joseph and Nancy (Ryan) Dwyer. Frank proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War, and after returning to civilian life, he married and settled in Medford. Frank was a classic car enthusiast. He was a wonderful man who loved his family, and put his mechanical skills to good use fixing things around the house.
Frank was the beloved husband of Barbara (Flynn) Dwyer of Medford, and the devoted father of Ann Marie Dwyer of Lynn, Claire Finks and her husband Thomas of Fairfax, VA, and the late Kathleen Anderson and her surviving husband Denis of Wilmington. He was the loving grandfather of Emily Finks of Everett, and dear brother of the late Rita Talarico and her late husband John, the late Robert Dwyer, and the late Henry Dwyer. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Frank’s family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, June 21st from 9 through 11 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11:30 AM. Interment will be held at a later date.
