Louise M. Baroncelli, 91

Louise M. “LuLu” (Melchiorri) Baroncelli, age 91, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Baroncelli, who died on September 5, 1998.
Born in Mansfield, MA on January 19, 1933, she was a loving daughter of the late Michael and Adria (Amati) Melchiorri,
LuLu grew up in Mansfield and was a 1950 graduate of Mansfield High School. For over twenty years, she truly loved her work as a receptionist at the Mansfield Council on Aging and was formerly employed at Compo Chemical in Mansfield. When younger, LuLu worked at the Sharon Florist Shop and also at the former Bonnie Brook Ice Cream Stand in Mansfield.
Louise was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and although not have children of her own, she assumed the role of grandmother to the children of the late Nancy Clagg. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and Sunday morning breakfast, shopping and spending countless hours at the Lancome counter. LuLu very much enjoyed the simple pleasure of relaxing at home watching television; western movies and Gunsmoke being her favorites. She held a special place in her heart for animals and will be fondly remembered for her love and care for them.
She was the dear sister of the late Madeline Largent. She is survived by her devoted nephew Michael Largent of Texas, as well as her much-loved cousins and was affectionately known as “Auntie LuLu” to Laura, Joe, Nolan and Mark Clagg.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, June 23rd from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her funeral will begin on Monday, June 24th at 10:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
