Ana Colon-Torres, 56, of Worcester a loving and dedicated educator died Saturday, June 15th at home. She leaves her children, Ana A. Torres, and Nelson L. Torres both of Worcester; her mother, Modesta (Diaz-Gonzalez) Feliciano of Worcester; her father, Jose Feliciano; a brother, Hoseas Feliciano and his wife, Sheila M. Ortiz of Worcester; two sisters, Denise Vargas-Colon and her husband, Michael Vargas of Queens, NY, and Linda Feliciano of Worcester; three grandchildren, Jaylen G. Quinoes, Roberto Y. Castro, and Jaylanie M. Castro; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was born in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of the late Jose Junior Colon. Ana dedicated over 25 years of her life teaching at May Street School, where she inspired countless students with her passion for education and her unwavering commitment to their success.
As a devoted member of the Church of God of Worcester, Ana found joy and purpose in her faith community. Her spirit of kindness, love, and generosity was a beacon to all who knew her. Ana was known for her ever-present smile and her infectious, loud laugh that could brighten anyone’s day.
Ana cherished every moment spent with her family. She was a devoted daughter, loving mother, a cherished sister, and a proud grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured each family gathering and shared laughter.
Her presence was always warm and pleasant, and she had an incredible ability to make those around her feel loved and valued. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and joy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many students whose lives she touched.
Ana will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 24 from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
