Frances Louise Harris Jessie, 77, of Tifton passed away Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Reed-Jewell Funeral Home in Columbus, Indiana. Mrs. Jessie was laid to rest at Garland Brooks Cemetery in Columbus, Indiana.
Born May 30, 1924, in Farmersburg, Indiana, Mrs. Jessie was the daughter of the late Elmer Harris and Goldie Crapo Harris. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Joe Jessie; two brothers; and one sister. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Holiness faith. She had lived in Tifton for 17 years.
Mrs. Jessie is survived by her husband, Marvin T. Jessie of Tifton; five sons, Dewey Jessie of Tennessee, David Jessie of North Carolina, Bobby Jessie of Tifton and Charles Jessie and Glen Jessie, both of Florida; two daughters, Patricia Hutt of Indiana and Sheila Jessie of Utah; two brothers, Bill Harris of Indiana and Bob Harris of Pembroke; two sisters, Ann McKimmy and Margaret Fox, both of Indiana; eighteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
