Troy Virgil Jordan, 77, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2002, at Kindred Hospital-North Florida in Green Cove Springs, Florida. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. Jordan at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2002, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he was laid to rest. The Rev. Jay Robinson officiated.
Born June 19, 1925, in Tift County, Mr. Jordan was the son of the late Elijah Fenney Jordan and Mary Estelle Clements Jordan. He retired from the United States Navy and served during World War II; and he was a member of Tifton's First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Jordan is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, LaNelle and Jim Miller of Waycross.
