Linda Mae King Green, 80 of Tempe, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in Chandler, Arizona. A memorial service was held for Mrs. Green at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Juen 18, 2024, at Tempe Mortuary in Tempe, Arizona. Mrs. Green will be laid to rest at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Born August 24, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late David and Mildred King. She was also preceded in death by one son, Mike Green; one daughter, Jill; and one brother, David King. She accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 10. Linda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend.
Linda was an avid reader, loved pictures, daily scripture writing, worked hard, loved unconditionally and loved the Lord. She studied at Mesa Community College and H&R Block Tax school, she was retired as a personnel assistant for Mesa Unified School District and as Tax Specialist for H&R Block. Linda was a long-time member of Tempe Church of Christ, where her and Jim supported the SunnyDale ministry numerous years.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Green of Tempe, Arizona and their children Bennie, Joelle, David, and Sandy; her grandchildren Catey, Jenna, Ryder, Reagan, and many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her twin sister, Sandy.
