BUXTON- Larry passed away unexpectedly after many years of health issues. He was born in Westbrook to the late Erwin Sr and Georgette Smith.
Larry was a car mechanic for most of his life and would always give a helping hand to those in need. Along with his youngest son Nicholas he owned L&S Auto in Buxton for many years.
In his earlier years he spent almost every Saturday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. He worked in the pits many a Saturday night getting the drivers like Lyman Mckeage and Frankie Wear back on the track after a crash or mishap. He also had a hand in building many of those cars that you’d see on Saturday nights from the 80’s and on.
Would like to give a heartfelt thank you to his oldest granddaughter Kiera for taking care of him and being by side til the end.
Also thank you to Malcolm and Justin Scott for opening their home to him these past months.
Larry is survived by former wife Pamela, daughters, Crystal (Dwaine Knapp) Aiden and Jennifer (Michael Welsh) Kiera . Son Nicholas (Addilynn), Step son Daniel Allard (Bre) Josh, William, Ezekiel and Lucy.
Many nieces and nephews.
Larry was predeceased by brothers Armond and Robert.
There will be no funeral services.
