Cheryl A. “Chez” Caloura, 74, of Snake Hill Road, Glocester, passed away in her home and surrounded by her family on Thursday June, 13th. She was the beloved wife of Michael E. Caloura. She was married to the love of her life and her soulmate for 45 years.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John E. and Rosalie (Johns) Desautel. She had lived in Glocester for 39 years previously living in North Providence. She was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School and RI Jr. College, now CCRI.
Chez had been a Radiologic Technologist at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence for over 42 years retiring in 2012.
Chez loved vacationing in the mountains, day hiking and fine dining. She was a talented artist who loved decorating for the holidays and celebrating them surrounded by her family.
Besides her husband she leaves her siblings; John M. Desautel of Bristol, Michelle J. Desautel of North Providence, Christopher J. Desautel of Johnston and Daniel J. Desautel and his wife Lori of Chepachet. She leaves many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her funeral will be held at 9:30am on Tuesday June 18th from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Visitation Tuesday morning 8:30am to 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheryl’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. www.stjude.org
