Michael John Donahue, 74, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, at the Blaire House of Tewksbury. Born on May 26, 1950, at Fort Devens in Ayer, MA, Michael was the beloved son of the late Thomas F. Donahue and the late Blanche B. (Sadzewicz) Jabour. He was raised in Lawrence, where he graduated from Lawrence High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Michael's life was marked by deep faith and resilience. Most recently, he attended the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in North Haverhill, NH, his spirituality was a cornerstone of his life.
Michael loved taking long walks, and fishing, however his greatest joy was his family, particularly his "baby sister" and his siblings, he loved all the children. Michael's generosity was evident in the simple pleasures he shared with them, such as trips to Friendly's for ice cream, where his kindness extended to other families as well. An accomplished trumpet player, he enjoyed marching with the Eagles Band, showcasing his musical talents.
Michael is survived by his loving siblings: Marilyn A. Farris and her husband Michael of South Ryegate, VT, Diane Donahue of Methuen, formerly of South Lawrence, Thomas Donahue, and his wife Darlene of Plaistow, NH. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and their families who brought him immense pride and happiness, including Tami Bouvier her husband Jason Bouvier and their children Miranda, Carrie, Rachel, and Jamie; Edward Soucie, his wife Lauren and their son Caleb; Sherri Leeman, her husband Eric and their son Finley; Sarah Goujon and her three children Haley, Amber and Zach; Karen Belair, Tina Borelli and her husband Steve, and their children Bob Kaylor and Salvatore Borelli; Pam Kearney and her husband Dave and their children Rileigh and Brady; Thomas Donahue Jr. and his wife Gina and their children Ava and Gracie.
Michael is also remembered by his late stepfather Joseph Jabour, his late uncle Charles Donahue, his living aunt Tina Alliette of Methuen, and his late aunt Louise Donahue of Methuen. He was also predeceased by his sister, the late Susan Dolan and her husband, the late Kevin Dolan.
Michael's legacy of love, faith, and generosity will forever be cherished by all who knew him. His family would like to thank everyone at the Blaire House of Tewksbury, for the care he received and the friendships he made over these past few difficult years.
