Donna Anne Hannon (also known as Donna Larkin), 48, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024 after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease. Born and raised in Newton, Donna was a fun-loving soul who found warmth and joy in her adopted home of New Port Richey, Florida. She loved music, movies and cooking—all of which were more enjoyable in Donna’s presence. Behind her sweet appearance, Donna was a strong and tenacious person. She fought bravely against her illness for many years, striving to maintain her independence for as long as possible. To her dying breath, Donna was her own person. She was funny, kind and courageous, and she will be missed.
Donna was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy (Hogan) Hannon, and brother Thomas P. Hannon. She is survived by her father Patrick J. Hannon; brothers and sisters April, Nicholas, Kelsey, Rachel, Matthew, & Patrick Hannon & his wife Julie; and her niece and nephews Patrick, Joseph, Robert and Cecilia Hannon.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham on Saturday, June 15 from 8:30-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 1382 Highland Ave., Needham at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Private interment in the Newton Cemetery.
