New Bedford – Manuel G. Netinho Aged 78 yrs.passed away Friday July 21, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was the husband of the late Laura (Moniz) Netinho . Survivors include a son Morris R. Furtado and his wife Del Rocha of Westport, 3 Grandaughters Marla Henderson, Melina Furtado and Liana Pratt. 2 Brothers; Richard Netinho of New Bedford, Donald Netinho of Pembroke Pines, Florida, 3 Sisters; Adeline Perry of Taunton, Philomena Stringer of Lady Lake, Florida and Rose McGuire of Stafford , Virginia. 2 Greatgrandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews, Deceased Siblings; John, Antone and Frank Netinho and Mary Varao and Alice Flor.
Mr Netinho was born in New Bedford, MA., and lived here all his life. He was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Soares( Netinho. He was a former Bus driver for the City New Bedford School Department.
His funeral will be held July 24 2006 from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 AM With a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James, on County St. at 10 A.M., Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery . Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4 to 8 PM
