Kerin L. (Francis) Brodie of Harwich passed away on June 5, 2024 at Mass General Hospital in Boston from complications of Sarcoidosis. She was 56 years old.
Kerin was born on 3/24/68 to Janet (Russe) Francis and the late Leonard "Mikey" Francis, Jr. She graduated from Nauset Regional High School in 1986, and went on to become an Educational Assistant for the Nauset School System, initially at the Wellfleet Elementary School, and later moving to the Eastham Elementary School, until illness forced her to retire.
Kerin had a deep love for the beach, especially her “Happy Place”, Long Point in Provincetown, where she and Eddie enjoyed trips to “The Point” on his boat, searching for sea glass and relaxing on the beach.
Kerin is also survived by her 4 children, Tyler Brodie and his wife Nicole of Derby, VT, as well as Trevan, Anna-Mae and Grace Brodie of Brewster and their Father, Rob Brodie of Harwich. She also leaves behind her brother, Jeff Francis of Ashby, MA, her wonderful Partner Edward Hall of Harwich, her Sister Cousin Kelly Callahan, her nephews Liam and Michael Francis and her very close Aunt and Uncle Jane and Don Cavanaugh. She will also be missed by many close cousins and friends who will miss her
terribly.
The family will be holding a private burial. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 20, 2024, at the Chatham VFW, 150 George Rider Rd, Chatham, MA, from 1pm – 4pm.
Donations in Kerin’s memory can be made to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research, at
www.stopsarcoidosis.com/donate (Please include in the “Note” section that the donation is being made for Research), to support ongoing research into the cause, treatment and hopefully some day a cure for this deadly disease.
