Obituary




An Ba Huynh, 80, of Worcester, passed away Friday, May 31st, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital. An is survived by his loving wife Dien Pham of 57 years; his children, Linh Huynh and wife Oanh Ly, Nguyen Huynh, Uyen Huynh, Christina Huynh and husband David Tran, Kathy Huynh and husband Gilbert Nguyen. Grandchildren, Brian, Alison, Nathan, Dillon, Samantha, Nikki, Michelle, Vivian, Brian, Vincent, Rachel, Jayden, Nicole and William. His brother and sisters, Minh, Hoa, Xinh, Huong and Lang.
He was born in Da Nang, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in July of 1990 to seek freedom and a better future for himself and his family. An Ba Huynh was a Class of 20th South Vietnam Military Academy member at Da Lat, Vietnam, and a former Battalion Commander of Battalion 1, Regiment 57, Third Infantry Division, South Vietnamese Army. He served his homeland honorably and was well respected by those under his command. His commitment and service to his country were a testament to his strength and courage throughout his life.
After arriving to the United States, An Ba Huynh and his family settled in Westfield, MA. He worked at Old Colony Company until he retired with a desire to bring a better life for his family and a brighter future for his children. His hard work and dedication were evident to all who knew him. He took great pride in his work and made many lasting friendships with his colleagues.
More than anything, An Ba Huynh cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a very devoted husband, caring father and grandfather, whose love and wisdom will be deeply missed. His family was his greatest joy, and he always ensured that they felt his unwavering support and affection.
An Ba Huynh’s life was a remarkable journey of Perseverance and Love. The memories of our father and grandfather will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Calling hours are Sunday, June 9th, 2024 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. The burial will be in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester, Massachusetts.
