Obituary

Kenneth “Hank” A. Harden, 70, of Hanson MA, died unexpectedly at home on June 4th, 2024.

Born in 1953, in Poughkeepsie, NY, to Howard Harden and Patricia (Baines) Harden, he graduated high school in East Bridgewater MA, where he was a standout athlete in football, basketball, and especially baseball, eventually going on to play in the Cape Cod Baseball League. He graduated from Adams College and had a successful career in real estate and business.

He loved sports and the outdoors. He spent close to 30 years involved in youth sports, not only coaching, but serving as president of the East Bridgewater Little League, where he oversaw the construction of new ballfields and organized the town's first Little League trip to Cooperstown, NY.

He was the brother of William Harden, Gail (Harden) Feeney and Joan (Harden) Malley and was formerly married to the late Debra Harden. He is survived by his sons Michael and Mark, their partners Jennifer and Martha, and his two grandsons, Michael and Brody, as well as his many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

There is no one who met Kenneth that didn't remember him or have a funny "Hank Story" they couldn't wait to share. Kenneth was a son, a brother, a husband, a father and a Pop-Pop. He will be missed more than he knows.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday June 11 from 4-7pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary), Whitman, MA. Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Little League of East Bridgewater, PO Box 75 East Bridgewater, MA 02333.
