Laura Fernandes (83) of New Bedford died May 31st in the St. Luke’s Hospital.
She was born in Bila, Fogo Cabo Verde, daughter of the late Cidália Fernandes and Cisario Fernandes. Laura was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church and enjoyed traveling, walking, cooking, selling goods, watching Portuguese TV and socializing with family and friends.
Laura is survived by 3 sons, Frank Centeio of Cabo Verde, Egidio J. Centeio and Cesario Centeio both of New Bedford, many grandchildren.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Brockton Tuesday June 11th from 5-8 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 47 S 6th Street New Bedford Wednesday June 12th at 10 am. Burial to follow in Rural Cemetery, 149 Dartmouth Street New Bedford.
