Obituary

WORCESTER___Richard “Rick” Pilski, 71, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 in UMASS - Memorial Medical Center - University Campus after a prolonged illness.

Rick is survived by his wife of 36 years, Frances (Esposito) Pilski of Worcester, his daughter, Jenna Pilski of Marlborough, a brother, Ronald Pilski of Worcester, and nephew, Ronald Pilski, Jr. of Worcester. Born in Worcester, Rick was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Nancy (Pascucci) Pilski, of Worcester.

Rick was a firefighter for the Worcester Fire Department and served many years as a Captain, a job he took great pride in. He retired in 2007. He also served in the United States Army, earning several decorations for his exemplary service. He was a hard worker, a man of great knowledge and many trades, even having owned his own appliance repair business, Pilski Appliance. Rick loved to talk and share stories, having, as his daughter Jenna puts it, the “gift of gab”. He was an avid Boston sports fan, animal lover, and had a great sense of humor and a big heart- always willing to help everyone around him. More than anything, Rick loved spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Lila, who will all miss him dearly.
