Filomena “Flora” (Bruni) Gentile of Malden Formerly of East Cambridge, passed away on June 4, 2024. She was 70 years old.
Filomena migrated from Italy with her family in 1981 and worked as a housekeeper for many years at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.
Filomena was the beloved wife of Pietro Gentile. She was the loving mother of Marta Gentile and Isabella “Lisa” Gentile both of Malden. Filomena was the cherished grandmother of Jaydon Farrell. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, 2 brothers and 1 sister, and pre-deceased by 3 siblings all from Italy.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday June 7th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Flora’s life in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday June 6th from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
