Edward B. Giardina, 71, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on May 26th, 2024.
He was born on September 12th, 1952, in Waltham, Massachusetts, to Bartolomeo and Clelia Giardina.
Ed was a dedicated millwright for Raytheon Corporation, retiring after over 45 years of service.
He earned his high school diploma from Waltham High School.
Ed was known for his hard work and many interests. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, enjoying social gatherings, cheering on his favorite Boston sports teams, and tending to his garden. He took great joy in growing tomatoes, peppers, and many other vegetables. He enjoyed working on and driving his 1967 Plymouth Barracuda, a classic muscle car that he lovingly maintained and proudly showcased.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila Giardina, his sons, Edward B. Giardina Jr, Michael J. Giardina, and Eric P. Giardina, his stepson Anthony Gentile, as well as his grandson, Maxwell Giardina.
A remembrance service with catering will be held at Luna Rossa Restaurant in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, this Friday, June 7th at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Smile, a cause close to Ed's heart.
Ed will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
