Obituary

Timothy James Rogers, 52 of Hanson, Massachusetts died unexpectedly on June 1st at South Shore Hospital. He is the son of Kevin G. Rogers of Whitman and the late Irene F. “Renee” (Landry) Rogers. Tim was born in Stoughton, raised in Whitman, and later graduated from Whitman Hanson High School.

The greatest highlight of Tim’s life was becoming a dad to his boys Ben and Zack.

Tim played ice and street hockey throughout his childhood and was in a men’s softball league for many years. He loved sports and was a huge New England sports fan. Participating in Fantasy Football and attending games throughout the years with friends and family were some his favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed a competitive game of Baggo at every family get together. Recently he enjoyed spending time with his boys golfing and going to the gym.

Tim enjoyed traveling, taking many trips with his wife and family. They traveled to places like Hawaii, Disney, Jamaica, and the Dominican along with many others.

Tim worked for 33 years in the wholesale flower business. He worked for a few companies over the years but dedicated most of his career to Quinlan Wasserman.

Tim loved his family and friends deeply. He was the person who made friends with everyone, no matter where he was. He was the person who would run into someone he knows anywhere even on vacation. He’s the person who even knew the pilot of the plane that he was flying on. Tim was that guy! It became a running joke about who will Tim know on this trip. He had the gift of gab. He was extremely generous to many in so many ways. He was so loved by everyone and will truly be missed.

Tim is survived by his wife Pamela (Barrows) Rogers who he met in High School in 1988. They were high school sweethearts. They were married for 28 years and together for 36. Tim is also survived by his sons, Benjamin and Zackary of Hanson, his brother Kevin G. Rogers Jr of Hanson, his stepmom Susan A. Rogers, stepsister Alexandra (Gunn) Nihan and her husband John, stepbrother John Gunn, stepfather Kevin Coleman, stepsister Maureen (Coleman) King and her husband Lance, stepbrother Kevin Coleman and his wife Traci, his in-laws, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend Tim’s visiting hours Thursday, June 6th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 7th at 10:00 AM in the funeral chapel, with a burial to follow at Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman.
