DENMARK - Judy Tardif, née McLeod, 74, passed away on June 2, 2024, at Woodlands Memory Care Facility in Bridgton, Maine surrounded by loving family. Judy was born April 12, 1950, the 2nd daughter of the late Charlie and Ida (Moulton) McLeod, also of Denmark, Maine. Judy often fondly recalled memories of her childhood, hunting and fly-fishing with her father, spending time with her grandparents and making memories with her sisters. After graduating from Fryeburg Academy in 1968, she worked at Corning Components for several years. She married Ronald Tardif in Cornish, Maine in 1979.
Always an active person who loved the outdoors, Judy enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, hiking and gardening. She was also an accomplished artist and seamstress; she loved to sew and knit clothing items for herself, her children and grandchildren. Above all, Judy was a devoted wife and mother, dedicating years to educating her children and later traveling the country with her husband, visiting grandchildren and exploring national parks.
Judy is survived by her husband, Ron; her six children - Valerie McAuslin and husband Scott of Randolph, Maine; Doug Tardif and wife Genna of Limington, Maine; Eric Prokey and his wife Sarah of Old Town, Maine, Christina Rohrer and her husband Nathan of Springfield Township, Ohio; Sam Tardif and his wife Desiree of Edgefield, South Carolina; and Libby Dyer and her husband Matt of Hiram, Maine; her two sisters - Margaret Mills and Cynthia Lee both of Denmark, Maine; her twenty grandchildren - Hillary, Kalynda, Logan, Jeff, Tyler, Jordan, Gavin, McKenzie, Kolya, Libby, Caleb, Sara, Micah, Aedon, Acadia, Brogan, Matthew, Zoe, Elias, and Ace; and 7 great-grandchildren - Audrey, Avonlea, Eleanora, Liam, Jameson, Greyson, and Scarlette.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 5th at 10 AM at the Hilltop Baptist Church in Cornish. Burial followed at Gilman Cemetery in Denmark, Maine.
