Eve Joseph Allain, 94, of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, formerly of Worcester, MA passed away on Saturday May 11, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Acadieville, he was the son of the late Edmond and Sophie (Doiron) Allain.
As a young man he worked at Lanes Bakery in Moncton, New Brunswick Canada for about 4 years before moving to Worcester, Massachusetts in 1956 to find work and start a family with his wife Mary (Longphee) Allain.
He was hired by Town Talk Bakery in Worcester, Massachusetts where he worked for 16 years before Town Talk Bakery relocated to Bangor, Maine.
He then went to work for Norton Company in Worcester where he worked in Plant 8 for 25 years before retiring in 1991.
He and his wife Mary enjoyed traveling back to Canada for visits with family, camping, and spending time with their grandchildren. Mary passed away in 1995.
While traveling back and forth to Canada, Eve met Pat Gould. They were married and moved back to Canada for 22 years before her passing in 2017.
He enjoyed the time he spent with his boys taking them camping every weekend on fishing trips to Cape Cod, and watching them play baseball at Maloney’s Field in Worcester, MA.
He will be dearly missed by all his sons and family.
He is survived by five sons: David (Cheryl), Paul (Lynn), Raymond (Elaine), Jimmy (Cindy), and Brian (Lisa); two sisters: Ronalda Allain and Adéline Poirier; one brother, Abraham (Anna); as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary (Longphee) Allain; his second wife, Patricia Gould; five sisters: Florida, Anise, Ludivine, Dorina, and Doris; three brothers: Euclide, Eulysse and Valéri.
A funeral service will be held on June 8, 2024 at 11AM at Notre Dame Mausoleum 162 Webster Street Worcester for family only where he will be laid to rest with his wife Mary.
Immediately following the ceremony their will be a celebration of life for everyone to attend on Saturday June 8, 2024, from noon to 3pm at the Auburn Elks Lodge 754 Southbridge St. Auburn, MA
