Farelus Delice was born in Port-De-Paix, Haiti on Nov 13th, 1937, from Farelien Delice
and Nephine Cime. Farelus grew up in Port-De-Paix where he completed his primary
and secondary education. As a young boy, Farelus demonstrated his musical talents,
especially playing the guitar, and was discovered by the musical band “Jazz Des Jeunes” where he spent most of his teenage years. As a young adult, Farelus visited his brother at Delmas 6 often. During one of these visits, he met the girl of his dreams, Josette Bruce and the two began a dating relationship soon after. In 1984, Farelus went to Florida with Jazz Des Jeunes to perform and decided to stay. In 1988, Farelus sent for his girlfriend, Josette, and the two were married soon after. The couple welcomed their son, Jean Roudy Delice 2 years later. In 1993, Farelus’ wife, Josette and their son moved to Massachusetts.
Farelus and family joined the Free Pentecostal Church of God. As a gifted guitarist, Farelus became a key member of multiple prayer groups including Effort Pour Christ, where he led worship on various occasions. He received an award from pastor Michel Louis for his musical talents and his outstanding contribution to the Christian community
in Boston.
Farelus is survived by his wife, Josette Delice and his son Jean Roudy Delice. His grandchildren Mike Delice, Jonathan Delice and David Delice. Farelus will be greatly missed and his contribution to the Christian community will always be remembered.
