Marcus Alan Norman, 63, of Tifton passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Kenny Kicklighter officiating. Mr. Norman’s son, Zack, will offer a eulogy. Mr. Norman will be laid to rest at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Sycamore with a private family service at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Mr. Norman’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 2, 1961, in Tifton, Mr. Norman was the son of the late Joseph Louis Norman, Sr. and Evelyn Eunice Ellis Norman. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Joseph “Joey” Louis Norman, Jr. He was the owner and operator of Tift Printing Company. After retiring, he worked at Walmart; and he was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tifton. He was a huge H.A.M. radio operator, had a deep love for photography, and dearly loved his chihuahua, “Peanut.”
Mr. Norman is survived by his wife, Theresa Marie Whiddon Norman of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Zachary Alan “Zack” and Rachel Norman of Atlanta; one brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Mary Jo Norman of Ormond Beach, Florida; one sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Lamar DeLoach of Valdosta; and a brother-in-law, Tony Whiddon of Kennesaw.
