PERRY Rosina (Martignetti) Longtime resident of Roslindale, formerly of Avellino, Italy, passed away on May 27, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Manuel G. Perry Jr. and Alessandro Barletta. Devoted mother of Ferruccio Barletta and his wife Elizabeth of Sharon. Sister of the late Carmine Martignetti. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Rosina came to America from Italy in 1972, with her young son and dreams bigger than she thought she should even dream. She had three big dreams: get a job, buy a house and have her son go to college. She worked hard at small jobs eventually getting a job at Raytheon in Norwood. She saved enough to get a mortgage, she bought a home and her son, Ferruccio, graduated from college. Rosa thought there were only a few important things in life: Love of Family, Making a Home and Growing Flowers! And squeezing in some vegetables. She was a success!
Visitation will occur at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Monday, June 3rd from 9:30-11:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale at 11:30am. Interment St. Michael Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Rosina’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
