Therese “Terry” Marie Archambault (Methot) of Manchester was called to the Lord on May 25, 2024, at the age of 93 after a period of declining health. She was born on April 18, 1931, in Willimantic Connecticut, the daughter of the late Arthur Methot and Bernadette (Boutin) Methot. She was one of 13 children and her family moved to Manchester, NH in 1945 where she remained a lifelong resident.
Terry graduated from Ste. Marie High School in Manchester and following her graduation in 1949 she attended Hesser Business School. She worked full-time for Dr. Paul Biron for 15 years. During her free time, she was a reporter for the Manchester Free Press and taught Sunday school at Ste. Marie’s Church. She started her own business called Miss Therese’s Yarn Shop and also co-founded the gift shop at Catholic Medical Center (CMC) formerly known as Notre Dame Hospital. She also volunteered for the JFK presidential campaign and worked at the Ward 11 polls for elections. Terry was a devout Catholic and volunteered countless hours at Ste. Marie Parish. She volunteered for several years with the Catholic War Veterans & Auxiliary and served as Ste. Marie Unit 1749 President from 1961-1962.
In early 1963 she met her sweetheart, Gerald R. Archambault, and they were married in October of the same year and settled in a home in Manchester where they raised their four children.
Terry enjoyed a long and fulfilling life taking immense pride in caring for her family and watching over many children of neighbors, friends, and family members. Throughout her children’s school years, she volunteered her time at their schools and activities. Those who knew Terry will remember a kind and generous caretaker and friend to many. She had a big heart and was always giving to others in need. She volunteered her time at both Elliot & CMC hospitals. She was recognized for her 4,250 lifetime hours of volunteering at CMC. She knitted countless blankets, booties, mittens, and hats of which she gifted to family, friends, and newborns. She was an accomplished seamstress and tailor, as well as an avid gardener who grew amazing vegetables and perennials and shared them each year with family and friends. As her children grew older, Terry worked part-time as a banquet server for various caterers and at the Center of NH. Terry also loved attending the numerous family gatherings where she could be surrounded by her family whom she loved so much. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
Terry is survived by her children, Rose Padfield, Leo Archambault and his partner Iwona Bakowska, Maurice Archambault and his wife Manon, Doris Labbe and her husband Stephen. Terry was a grandmother to six grandchildren (John-Paul Padfield, Meredith (MB) Padfield, Jeremy Duhamel, Nicholas Labbe, Kayla Labbe, and Hunter Archambault) and one great-grandchild (Yorke Padfield). She is survived by six siblings, Angele Morrisey, Raymond Methot, Alphee Methot, Clement Methot, Jean-Guy Methot and Paul Methot. She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 40 years Gerald R. Archambault, and siblings Joseph, Normand, Gerard, Rita, Marcel, and Robert.

SERVICES: Calling hours for Therese will be held on Sunday, June 2nd from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 110 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 10:00 am at Ste. Marie Parish, 133 Wayne Street, Manchester, NH. She will be laid to rest immediately afterwards at the Mt.
