Maria Kochanowicz, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2024 surrounded by her children. She was born on October 16, 1943 in Zielonka, Poland. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish and the former Our Lady of Hope Church. She loved spending time with her family and taking trips to Cape Cod, Vermont and the Berkshires. She is predeceased by her husband Piotr Kochanowicz who passed away in 2015 and also by her sister Stella Zuba. She is survived by two sons, Peter Kochanowicz Jr. and his wife Pamela of Ludlow and John Kochanowicz of Springfield; two daughters, Janet Lareau and her husband Christopher of Agawam and Marjorie Kochanowicz of Springfield; two brothers, John Zuba of Poland and Walter Zuba and his wife Hanka of Poland and three beloved grandchildren, Ava, Amanda and Justin.
