Luis E. Elguezabal, Sr., 79, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, NH. Born on November 6, 1944, in Cienfuegos, Cuba, Luis was the cherished son of Domingo and Dolores Elguezabal.
Luis dedicated over four decades of his professional life to Chiquita Brands International, where he made significant contributions in the IT Department. His career was marked by his diligence, expertise, and a passion for technology.
Beyond his professional achievements, Luis had a zest for life. He enjoyed playing golf, following baseball, traveling the world and was a true connoisseur of fine wine. However, what he cherished the most was spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride into his life.
Luis is survived by his devoted wife, Dora (Palma) Elguezabal of Derry, NH; his son, Luis Jr., and daughter-in-law Tonya, of Londonderry, NH; his daughter, Dora and daughter-in-law Sue, of North Andover, MA; and his adored grandchildren: Alexander, Victor, and Isabella. He is also survived by his brother, Domingo Jr., and sister-in-law, Joy, of Lacombe, LA, along with several extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
