John (Jay) Thomas Thornton, 64, of Whitman, formerly of Brockton and Randolph, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2024, at South Shore Hospital of Weymouth, MA.
John lived his life with a rebel spirit but was always available if help was needed. He lived life by his own rules and was an avid lover of muscle cars. John spent 3 decades of his life with Pamela Martin, of Brockton, MA, and shared 2 children together.
John is survived by his son Jamie Thornton and daughter-in-law Stephanie, of Johnston, RI, his son Christopher Thornton, of Brockton, MA, his grandchildren Cameron, Jakob, and Melanie Thornton, as well as many other relatives.
The family respectfully requests no formal gathering take place, instead, they encourage loved ones to remember the cherished memories shared.
