Pease, Elizabeth West Pease, of Meredith, NH, beloved wife and mother, passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of ninety-seven. Born to Gretchen and Frederick West in Woburn, MA, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire, majoring in Art and in Literature. She married Donald in 1950 and lived in Winchester, MA. She went on to receive her Master of Education from Boston University and a certification in Therapy for Specific Reading Disabilities. In 1984, they moved to North Sandwich, NH. and Elizabeth became the director of The New Hampton School's Learning Center. She was married for 68 years.
However, creating art always held a special place in Elizabeth's heart. She painted in oils from her studio in North Sandwich. She studied with Robert Gordon and painted with the North Country Painters, exhibiting in NH, VT, and MA. She was also a member of the League of NH Craftsmen.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Jonathan (Connie), and her daughter, Nancy, grandchildren Justin (Lauren) and Sarah (Aram), 3 great-grandchildren; and nieces Carol, Suzanne (Rick), Peter, Sandy, Dick (Donna), Dave (Vickie), Rick (Punya), and Sue.
A memorial service will be held at Meredith Bay Colony Club, Meredith, NH, on June 14th, at 12:30 with a reception to follow.
